Well. Remember that dream you had where Wolfwood placed his hands on your hips, Ain? WELL…..

That’s where they’ve ended up now as he presses his lips to Ain’s in another brief, chaste kiss. A smooch on the lips. Then another…and another still. It’s all very casual and lazy for the most part, knowing that if he were to slip Ain tongue now when he’s barely been kissed ever in his life, he’d probably pass out.

Wolfwood rolled a high 16 however, which means he’s going to be a little brave in a different way. That is…he’ll break their kiss, only to kiss Ain’s cheek. Then his jaw. Then…down to the side of his neck. He won’t kiss him any lower than that, but he sure is smooching him gently on one of his most sensitive areas now, humming softly under his breath all while very gently rubbing his thumbs over the curve of Ain’s hips.

He may never get the sound of Wolfwood’s lips softly kissing his neck out of his head for as long as he lives.]

[He sure will not. He's going to hear it when he goes to sleep tonight. It's gonna be bad. He's going to wake up sweating again.

For now, though? Ain is content to keep kissing like this. Little kisses, slow and nice, easy to follow. Wolfwood kisses his cheek, and he giggles. Wolfwood's hands are on his hips, and Ain squirms gently in the hold, not to break it but because it sure is a lot different than he thought it would be, and maybe Wolfwood will be able to feel how sharp his hip bones are through his sweater. He got a glimpse of the freckles on them last week. Let this add to the chaos.

Then, when Wolfwood goes lower, to his neck, Ain makes a sharp little gasp before exhaling a soft, contented noise. Oh God. That spot is sensitive, and all Ain can really do to show how much he's loving it is run a hand back through Wolfwood's hair to encourage more of it. He might have to pull aside the high collar of Ain's turtleneck if he wants to go much lower, but Ain sure won't stop him.

...it does make him squirm a bit more, though.]

[His skin is rapidly heating up under Wolfwood's lips. The guy might even feel Ain's pulse fluttering, too. Gotta be gentle with this one.]

[There is, genuinely, SO much more he wants to do. So much more he could do, because he has the experience to back it up. But none of those things are fit to be happening in the backseat of his car, certainly not for Ain’s first time. These little firsts are fine, though. Everyone has their first kiss in an unconventional place. Some people have their first behind the school bleachers, or in their childhood bedroom, or something similar. It was never going to be “right” or “perfect”. Especially not when Ain probably imagined his first kiss was going to be with a girl, not another man.

Wolfwood has to restrain himself mentally for the time being, else he might go overboard. This, though? This…is nice too. It’s nice to be able to show him, gentle and slow, what affection can be. So while he does use the edge of a thumb to pull down Ain’s collar a bit so he can kiss him deeper down, he will let that be his stopping point. No lower, no further than this. He will make it worth Ain’s while, however, kissing…letting his tongue brieflly drag along the skin, his teeth following suit without actually biting at all, just sort of dragging to give him the sensation prickling across his neck. He doesn’t give him a hickey, he doesn’t bite him. He merely kisses, maybe tongues the spot a little, but…it’s all very easy otherwise.

Meanwhile, his other hand cradles the back of Ain’s head and neck, fingertips carding through those curls he’s been wanting to stroke for weeks now.]

You’re so cute… [Kiss kiss] Perfect…mmhh…

[Easy. He needs to pump the breaks. He can feel himself starting to get aroused, and that’s about the point he knows they should slow back down. It’s why he’ll pull off his neck so he can kiss his face instead, kissing his cheeks a few times before planting another kiss on his lips.

He thinks he could do this genuinely for hours. But…that’s perhaps for another time.]

[It's about the point where Wolfwood gets just a little tongue-y and a little almost-bitey where Ain starts to make sounds that are less "content" and more "vaguely horny", so it's probably good to stop there. Gotta be easy on him. Gotta be easy on both of them, really, because the sexual tension in this car is so thick they could cut through it. Ain looks super flushed by the time Wolfwood stops, returning that final kiss playfully, albeit with his pupils a tad blown out.]

Mmhmm! [Happy Ain noises. If he had a tail, it'd be wagging.] It's almost exactly like one of them! [One of th—] I'd say it's even better, now that I have an actual idea of what that's like, haha.

[He leans forward. It's Wolfwood's turn for a cheek-kiss. It's almost shy, the way Ain does it.]

[Ugh. That kiss is so sweet. He…really hopes Ain will be up for more, later. If not tonight…sometime, eventually. Baby steps.

Wolfwood brushes his hand through Ain’s hair one more time before he draws back, moving to straighten his own clothing and hair a bit so it looks less like he was making out with somebody in the back seat just now. Only then will he start to get out of the back, but not before adding before he opens the door.]

Let’s go get some grub, yeah? Wouldn’t wanna put off our date for much longer.

[Insane to think that Ain won't somehow be in Wolfwood's lap later because otherwise he's going to go home desperately wanting. Too much for a first date? Probably. He'll take it up with his hormones. Live fast, die young, leave a pretty corpse or whatever.]

[Imagine coming out to the guy you're keen on thinking he's going to hate you, and not only does he not hate you, but you kiss a l'il in the backseat and then go to dinner. Ain swears as he's getting out that he can still feel Wolfwood's hands on his hips. It's too damn good to be true, and yet here they are.

So. Ain swings himself into the front seat. Closes the door. Looks at himself in the rearview mirror to make sure his hair isn't fucking everywhere, makes sure his clothes aren't somehow wrinkled... looks good. Okay.]

You know where the lake is, right?

[Little does Ain know that Wolfwood already saw the place he wanted to eat at. He's already giving instructions on how to get there because he has no idea.]

[Listen, he didn’t want to assume! Just because your guy friend admits to you that they’re gay doesn’t mean they’re gay because of you or anything. Wolfwood hasn’t even articulated his raging crush for Ain yet but, well…it probably doesn’t really need to be said in so many words, at this point.

Because now, they’re headed to this restaurant with purpose. Wolfwood nods as he shifts the stick into gear before pulling out onto the road to head that way.]

He HIGHLY doubts he can just steal Ain overnight without his parents calling the police to report their son missing, if he’s understood context clues up to this point.]

Um... no, no curfew, really. My mom is kind of... she worries, but I've been out late before. Some of my brothers are late-night roamers because we offer prayers to people, and we believe it's unfair to exclude people who might work nights, or poor folks who sleep in alleyways. As long as I'm back before the twenty-four-hour mark has passed, she won't be too suspicious. I can always tell her someone had a medical emergency or needed an exorcism or something.

[She has no reason to look into Ain's behaviour yet. We're still at the point in the lore where she trusts her Catholic doctor son to do Catholic doctor things, and not fraternize with a southside sinner and suck dick. This will not last That Long, but you know! For all she knows he could be trying to convert Wolfwood to being holy and pious and heterosexual! Save his soul or whatever!

(He is not trying to do this, he wants to ride on this man's thigh until he ruins another pair of pants and passes out.)]

He shakes his head a little, holding onto the steering wheel with one hand as they idle at a stoplight. This time they’re in the privacy of the truck, so nobody will be heckling them at the lights today.]

[He’s going to…gauge how things go, but either he’s going to try stealing this good Christian boy for the evening, or maybe he’ll just get handsy with him in the car and let that be that. [Wolfwood may just be teasing Ain, but…he DOES mean what he says. He can’t help but imagine it, Ain being home waiting for him after work with something bubbling away on the stove…ugh.

[He tilts his head a bit to one side as he drives off from the light, looking ahead as they talk.]

[He readjusts his grip on the wheel, taking a breath. He focuses on staring straight ahead, too nervous suddenly to look at Ain and glad that he has the road to keep himself sufficiently distracted.]

I…you know I’m not straight either, obviously. And I swear it wasn’t that way when we first met, but…

I’ve been keen on you for a while. It felt almost like the last couple times we spent together were like dates, yaknow? I just figured…I wasn’t gonna assume anything, especially since I hadn’t told you…I don’t know.

He thinks about the last part for a while longer, though, humming and chewing the inside of his cheek in thought. Then:]

I guess they were sort of date-like, weren't they? And yet you still didn't kiss me at the lake! [His voice is teasing. He's not actually mad.] Some Casanova you turned out to be, huh!

…It started then, actually. At the diner.

[When they danced, and he saw Ain smiling and laughing for the first time, genuinely. It made him want to dip him. Kiss him.]

I didn’t realize it was more than just a passin’ thing until after that. Then I realized I was down pretty bad.

[He’s imagining it now. They’re alone together somewhere, dancing their hearts out in a room. Wolfwood is doing it badly and making Ain laugh, but then one of the songs turns slow and hands end up on hips and…yeah.

It’s a nice thought, he thinks as the restaurant looms in the distance ahead of them, all lit up pretty in the evening with couples heading in as they speak.]

And I think you sell yourself short. But maybe I can get you to thinkin’ differently by the time the night’s over, huh?

[Oh buddy. There are so many ways. You are opening this can of worms.

The restaurant is nice. Ritzy-looking, even if it doesn't advertise itself as such. It's a hotspot for dates and business meetings and birthday dinners, and Ain wonders if maybe they can slot themselves into the last two somehow instead of obviously being two guys on a date. Of course, Wolfwood is wearing his mafia jacket, which means they won't get harassed, so maybe the secret fourth option is "the mafia wanted seafood", which isn't as strange as that string of words makes it sound. It's getting dark out, and the patio is lit up with all sorts of string lights stretching from there to the lake, where multiple people are walking around it in the distance. Lots of lakes in these parts. It's nice. That means there will be more ducks to feed later.

Ain swings himself out of the truck and onto the ground, shoes hitting the asphalt with an audible sound. The door gets shut behind him, and as he moves to the front of the vehicle and walks the short distance to the entrance, he asks,]

Why do you go by your last name anyhow? Is it a business thing? Or you don't like your first name?

[It’s honestly nicer than any place Wolfwood’s been to lately that wasn’t for business. He imagines the mafia comes here a lot for that reason, so seeing him won’t be that much of a surprise to the staff. Perhaps they’ll assume Ain is a business partner, some rich boy he’s trying to shake down, or something similar. It fits the bill for a date, which is what they’re actually here for, and he couldn’t be happier about that.

…until Ain asks him that, and he feels his heart skip a beat.]

[Although, the red flags are growing by the day. Ain already said he's Korean, and he's white-passing enough to where the creases in his eyelids aren't entirely obvious. Which, to anyone with eyes, might say that he's actually not fully-Korean. Like the Ishmaels. He won't give his last name because it's associated with the mafia. He won't tell Wolfwood where he lives, because it's with the mafia, but at least that one can be excused as "if my mom saw me with a weird boy she'd flip".
