Wolfwood is, in fact, paying very close attention to Ain right now because...he's been going through it, alright, he can't help it. He's zeroed in on the guy as he watches him flit in and out among the people and the stalls, less focused on his own shopping and more on what Ain's doing. He actually misses it the first couple of times because he's just that good at this particular brand of sleight of hand, but once he knows what he's looking for...he realizes that Ain has been pickpocketing the crowd this entire time. Interesting that he's choosing to steal the money to pay with as opposed to just stealing the goods outright, but he supposes that makes it seem less obvious that's what's happening. If he's seen "buying" things, why would anyone have any reason to be suspicious of him?
Thing is, he has little qualms about it. He's a bandit after all, he and his gang do this exact same thing, albeit through a lot more openly violent means. They take what they want when they want it with no regard for who they might hurt in the process. They're just trying to survive, sure, but...that's the way it is in this world. Eat, or be eaten.
He doesn't say a word. He just keeps it in mind, knowing he's going to have to be extra careful around him from this point on. He's very smooth...and he wonders still just how much of the Ain he knows is fabricated. The Ain that he's becoming...]
