He's not fully conscious enough to think he needs to get up or anything like that, yet he finds himself staring at the edges of the flaps covering the wagon, where the moon's light just barely filters through. The cold of night reminds him, like icy cold water dumped over his head and shoulders, of what he's done.
Now, it's no longer fresh and new. It's not warm anymore, but instead cold and final as the realization settles into his chest. He had sex with a man, completely sober and willing, and he enjoyed it.
