[TOES...Well if Ain is going to stick his foot out like that, then don't blame him when Wolfwood leans in reeeal close and gives his foot a big old sneef.]
Yeah, but where are your claws? You ain't gonna get anywhere with those tiny little stubs.
[Yeah see humans have advanced past the need for claws, it's called knives-
Wolfwood gives a sort of rumbling grunt that a dog might when being pushed over as he carefully moves from his back to his belly, flattening out on the cave floor like a pancake so he can stretch a wing out for Ain to look at. His wings are, expectedly, massive to be able to support the weight of a fully grown dragon. They have a pretty sort of blue/black ombre with little almost shimmery sparkles from the way his scales are overlaid between the thin bones that make up the wing "fingers", with the leathery flaps in the middle dotted with tears and holes from old battle scars.]
[And Ain wiggles right under Wolfwood's wing so he can look at it that way, running his hands across the smooth membrane and avoiding any of the holes and tears. Poor baby.]
We don't need claws. We wear shoes. I didn't have any on when you kidnapped me, because we don't sleep with our shoes on.
[Ain's only clothes are the silken shirt, pants, and his undies. He has no socks or shoes, so his tootsies are cold all the time.]
[His poor tootsies...hopefully Add comes back with some decent clothing for Ain, including shoes because these two sure don't have ANYTHING like that here. Any human ensembles they have are uh...armor. You know, from knights that used to be alive but very much are not anymore, rip.]
Are they? Nah, I didn't know. Kinda hard to see my own wings without a mirror.
[He stretches them out for emphasis as he says that, though typically they do become much smaller when he's in his human form. Even then though, they're still pretty big.]
I do, yeah. They're pretty... [He draws his fingertips down one of the finger bones, giggling to himself. Wolfwood is a pretty dragon, he thinks. Pretty and giant and warm, and having that wing over him like a blanket is keeping him from freezing while he pokes and prods.] They don't hurt where they're damaged, do they?
[For Ain, it's so big it's like he's sleeping under a tent. He could easily create a pillow-fort out of this dragon wing, assuming he could convince Wolfwood to stay still long enough.]
Mmm...nah, not really. Sometimes a little when it gets real cold, but they're old wounds.
[Even now, the sunlight coming in through the cave entrance filters through the small holes in his wings near the edges, dotting Ain's face and skin like stars.]
[And then he wigglewaggles his fingers over the upper part of the membranes near the bones proper, avoiding the scars but definitely trying to see if Wolfwood is a ticklish dragon.]
[Oh, he realizes what's happening seconds too late. Ain reaches up to start wiggling his fingers against his wings, tickling the sensitive membranes, and Wolfwood starts falling into a giggle fit that very much sounds like what you'd imagine if a dragon started to laugh. Like a lizard chortling at you. Very deep, with a lot of clicks and rumbling sounds. He rolls over, his tail wiggling across the floor, and it's about this time that Add flies back into the cave with a sack in his mouth, landing on all four paws just in time to watch Wolfwood throw his head back like AAA-]
What! He said he wanted to see! I ain't done nothin' wrong.
He isn't supposed to be moving around!
[Add SIGHS as he drops the bag and grabs it with a claw so he can turn it over to upend the supplies inside.]
Come over here so I can check to make sure you aren't bleeding through your bandages. I brought some clothes for you to change into.
[Wolfwood remains on his back like u_u He's not moving-
Ain, meanwhile, will see that Add did make good on his trip. All of this stuff is........definitely stolen, but he has brought some changes of clothes (they're all commoner fare, tunics and slacks and the like, but they're clean and a lot warmer than silk), as well as some actual medicine and potions that were being brought to the Kingdom for sale. There are a few packed ingredients as well, like sugar and flour in tightly wrapped bundles. There's even some dry rice in the mix.]
[And Ain scoooooots his way to the edge of the bedding and sits up so Add can look him over...]
You brought back a lot. Haha, is that sugar and flour...? If you have cookbooks, we might be able to make bread or something. I'm no good with cooking, but I can read instructions, at least.
[Bread would be nice... Ain suddenly misses bread. It has been 36 hours since he had bread.]
Oh, when I'm better, if you get seeds, I can start a garden. I'm good at gardening. Then we could have fruits and veggies. [Honestly, there are probably wild ones growing in the mountains, they'd just need to bring the seeds from them closer to home.]
[Add needs to shift to his human form for this, so sorry for flashbanging you again-
He walks over after he takes a moment to fix his hair with his claws, crouching down into a squat in front of Ain so he can look over the bandages. There's a little bit of blood which is concerning, but not enough for him to think the stitches have come open. He'll have to keep an eye on it though, he isn't sure.]
I have a couple. I can pull them out later...
[But not until you've RESTED. AIN. >:(
The mention of a garden causes Wolfwood to finally roll back over and speak up from where he's still being lazy in his nest.]
The mountainside is real rich soil. Stuff grows pretty good up here if you can find someplace that ain't chock fulla rocks.
[Add sighs as he presses his fingertips lightly into Ain's side.]
More like a place a clumsy human won't fall off the mountain from.
[Really, Ain is bleeding because he wiggled a little, but the stitches are still closed. He would not be this energetic if he were in any real pain. He's, uh, in far too good of a mood, really, for a man who's sick and injured and cold.]
My human skin isn't pathetic! It's very soft and nice! You would have known if you put your hands on me last night.
[Oh my GOD Ain
Anyway, he sniffles a little and nods, slipping on the commoner's clothing. Honestly... it's better than his pyjamas. It's nice and warm, despite not being very fancy, but that means Ain will feel a little less bad if it gets ruined due to being here. Plus, warm. And he thinks he can make the outfit look cute if he ties this spare cloth around his waist...
Wait, the stitches. Fuck, okay, next time. He will be so cute next time.]
He got a taste of me having nice, long fingers~ hehe.
[There goes the bowl... Ain giggles softly. He, unfortunately, has not forgotten that he wants to explore the other dragon, but for now he'll be good because he knows Add's gonna be all "hurbrhrburh your injuries".]
[Ugh die die die both of you die, do NOT pay attention to the way he's blushing as he turns away and quickly shifts back into a dragon so he can hide it more easily. He has a poker face as a dragon, but as a human...lol not so much.
Wolfwood of course thinks this is funny and is just. Laughing over there. Hohohoh.]
Yeah...maybe. Didn't I give you a book to read?? What happened to that?
[Don't look now, Ain, but Add is literally Pushing you with his snout to lay back down, shoo.]
I was reading it, but Nikolaus was letting me prod him so I could learn how dragons work. Is your tongue also rough at one angle and smooth on the other?
[Ain is nuzzled... he will lay back down with the book he started earlier, next to the Other books he was given. Fine. He is Flat Now, are you happy??]
When do I get to explore you, huh?? [why did you say it like that]
[Ain sets the book off to the side and reaches up to grip Add's snoot, pulling at his lips like he did with Wolfwood because he wants to see his teeth and feel his tongue, like he did earlier. This is Real science. He's going to shove his whole arm into Add's mouth—]
[GIRL??? A couple days ago you were PETRIFIED of them, now you're shoving your hands in his mouth! Hello!!!
Wolfwood watches from afar with a smirk on his face as Add very carefully opens his mouth so Ain can look at his...teeth? Is that what he wants?? Why.
His tongue is just like Wolfwood's, except it's purple. It's a little thinner and forked, which Wolfwood's is not incidentally. They may be different dragon species.]
Ooh, your tongue is different. [Yeah he's over his fear now, you guys were so niceys to him. Also Add you forgot to make Ain take his meds—] Do you smell things with your tongue like a snake does?
[Teeth... they're largely the same as Wolfwood's it looks like, and Ain will at least pull his hand out of Add's mouth and wipe it off on the bedding before he holds his snout in his hands and turns it (he doesn't turns it, he pushes against Add like he wants Add to turns it) so he can gaze into the dragon's eye.]
[Add replies, clearly flustered already by how bold Ain is being. Pushing on his face and all...
But despite that, he does turn his head as Ain requests, his eye open wide for his perusal. It's a very bright purple, even brighter than Wolfwood's, and his eye seems to be more perpetually slit even when dilated. His eyes are different colors too, with one eye a darker purple with the other a much lighter, almost magenta color. He has a lighter colored scar on his face over that eye, like an electrical scar of some sort.]
God dreamwidth if you could like GIVE me a notif I'd appreciate it-
Yeah, but where are your claws? You ain't gonna get anywhere with those tiny little stubs.

Science~. He's letting me explore him to learn about dragons 'cause it's only fair after last night. You have to let me do it to you too~.
[They've been playing :) Ain has been crawling everywhere which is not what he's supposed to be doing.]
no subject
What! He said he wanted to see! I ain't done nothin' wrong.

[Mmmmmmhmmmmmmmmmmm.]
no subject
[Yeah how soon until Ain slips off the mountain and one of them has to catch him-
Add seems satisfied enough for now with what he sees though, pulling back so he can grab a set of clothing and literally throw it into Ain's lap.]
Now cover your pathetic human skin, otherwise your sickness is just going to get worse. I have a medicinal drought for you to take after you eat.
[Unlike the herbs...it will be gross, he's not sorry. But it SHOULD help Ain heal a lot quicker.]

You have no room to talk!!

Add's tail lashes as he looks down at Ain like a disgruntled cat, which...after what Ain's learned so far today, he might as well be.]
...if I lay down beside you and let you, will you stay put?
no subject
["Noodle neck"...]

Add SIGHS...but fine. He'll join Ain in the nest and lay down with him...curling his long body up around him.]
There.
