[Ain, of course, has nothing to cry over. He's still out like a light when Wolfwood wakes early and sobs into him, and by now, he is perfectly comfortable with himself. If he goes to Hell, so what? Who cares? Not this guy, no shot.

He sleeps through it either way, breathing softly, content like a cat. When he wakes up, it's actually as the sun rises, right at six...

And he just groans. He wants to sleep in.]

[He wouldn't say he's a cuddler (he's absolutely a cuddler, he's just kicked himself out of everyone's beds first), but hey, sun, go back to bed. Let him sleep more, he's tryna hug a cowboy.

This is how Ain wakes up in the morning. Bleary, grouchy, and today especially, not willing to be a person because he wants to snuggle. Unfortunately, they gotta get moving, so after a momentary sigh Ain just

pushes himself to a sitting position and stretches. Then looks at Wolfwood and pats his head. Pat-pat.]

Morning, dear.

[Wolfwood isn't sure when or how he fell back to sleep, just that he did at some point when he started weeping at 4 am. He thinks he might have just cried himself back to sleep? Unclear. Either way, he's...exhausted by the time six rolls around and it's time to actually get up, and when Ain peels away from him, he feels...like he wishes he could stay longer.

He doesn't want to move yet. He doesn't want to have to get up and face reality yet.]

Mmrgh...

[His eyes are glued shut from crying, and his face feels uncomfortably sticky. He smears at it blindly with the heel of his hand, trying to roll over halfway to bury his face into a clean part of the sleeping bags.]

Whas' ur' hurry...lay back down.

[He grumbles, despite knowing they need to move now before it gets too hot for the horses.]

I wish, but sleeping on hard wood all night sucks. I'd rather sleep in the sand... at least that has some give to it.

[Brushes Wolfwood's hair from his eyes... good morning, beautiful, tired man. You are so pretty.

Ain slides away so he can get dressed.]

Besides, the horses are gonna be pretty sad if we get moving late and it's too hot. Then we have to travel longer, too. We're almost to the next town, though. If we make good headway today, we can probably extend the trip a couple hours into the night and arrive in one piece...

[Wolfwood will get to see Ain's whole butt while he's shuffling into his pants, sorry, modesty is gone now we've fucked twice.]

Wolfwood barely manages to will himself to get up, and it's half because Ain brushed his hair from his eyes like that. Ugh. He forces himself to sit up, rubbing a little harder at his eyes before shucking a hand through his extremely messed up hair. It feels like it should be much later than it is...]

[Yeah, the ass is one thing, the state of his fucking back is another. It's torn up around that tattoo, scabbed over and bloody. Wolfwood should probably check for DNA under his fingernails because good lord. As he's pulling his shirt on, the cuts sting, and Ain remembers his hubris. Like, ah yes... he said he wanted to be in pain in the morning, and he's fucking getting it.

[He's been on the road for the better part of almost 10 years, Wolfwood, he knows what he's doing. You're the one who told him to head to the mountains!

Anyway, plops Wolfwood's clothing on his chest.]

You can rest today, if you want. I'm gonna get the horses up and get us on the road.[Which requires, like, actually getting the wagon ready to move, too, but that's not going to take longer than a minute.] We'll sleep in a bed soon, love.

[And then off he goes, outside to do things! Sorry Wolfwood he's action-oriented right now because he needs to think about how he hasn't yet gotten rid of you yet and how he's starting to not want to? Hhhhh please just go away straight boy (no don't go) (but also go) (fuck)—]

[Wolfwood watches as Ain saunters out of the wagon, deep claw marks and all, pulling aside the canvas so he can head outside and probably find Angelina flopped entirely on her side sleeping like she's fucking dead. (She isn't, by the way, she just does this). Meanwhile, he ends up lagging behind a bit, still holding onto his clothes as he rubs his face a few times, staring at the wagon floor. The sleeping bags are kindof strewn about, there's...a mess, here and there, and he can still feel parts of him all sticky from it because Ain can't be expected to get everything until they wash off in the nearby river. That's...not a bad idea, come to think of it.

Don't look now, Ain, but there's the sound of an awful din at the back of the wagon, followed by a chorus of angry cursing. Turns out, Wolfwood forgot his legs don't work, and tried to get out of the wagon- butt-ass naked, by the way- so he could go wash in the river.

Turns out! Legs don't work after sex like that.]

[Ain is literally tending to Angelina now and trying to make her get up when Wolfwood just

screams, curses, and probably falls over.

Okay. Nevermind. What is he doing. Ain walks around to the back of the wagon again and holds back one of the flaps, looking at Wolfwood and his hairy, naked ass with a brow raised.]

[He grumbles...from the ground because yes, he did just fucking fall head first out of the back of the wagon, how are you doing?]

[Crouches down, scoops Wolfwood up so that his arm is around Ain's shoulder and he can support his weight that way.

Puts him back of wagon.]

Let me drive us closer to the river so that you don't strain yourself.

[With a huff, Wolfwoof allows Ain to help him back to his feet, at least long enough to get back into the back of the wagon. The way he pouts shows that he isn't happy about it, though.

No, you're a young man who got railed in the back of a wagon, of all places. Of course you're going to be sore.

[Ain "hahas" as he moves back toward the front, shutting the wagon flaps as he goes. There's a "hup" as he hops up onto the seat, and then the horses trudge on closer to the river. The ride lasts about a minute, but at least they get to get a drink while the boys bathe.

They should bathe, of course, but Ain sort of... spaced it, because he's too zeroed in on the fact that he Must get things done so they can leave, and he's also not the one that got fucking filled so oops. He's sorry.

Anyway, they park, and Ain swings around to the back to help Wolfwood get out of the wagon and into the river. It's deep enough to sit in, but shallow enough to where neither of them will be swept downstream. Yay.]

[If he were any more tired than he is now, he'd just simply let the river take him. That isn't what ends up happening, fortunately, but wouldn't it be funny if it did-

Once they make it to the water proper, Angelina trots over and slurp slurp slurp she'll be schlorping water for a while as Ain brings her master over to the water's edge, who is very much hobbling like an old man over here. His ass is fucking broken, to the point where he is only comfortable again once he's sitting in the shallow water. It's pretty cold this early in the morning, but it's refreshing for Wolfwood when he's still as sticky as he is. He'll get over the cold soon enough, and then it will get miserable and hot and he'll wish he was back here.]

[He was helping YOUR ass in here first! But, yeah, Ain will join in, although getting river water in the scratches on his back might be a bad thing so hmm. He will just have to keep his back out of it.

He disrobes, then, throwing his clothes into the back of the wagon before he sits down. He is being... very careful here and it shows.]

[It'll heal, and if Ain has to get it touched up later to account for any paper-thin scars then oh well, he'll do that. It's not the end of the world to him. He never sees it anyway.]

Between you and me, and I know this is gross, but I usually don't bathe when I'm travelling for short stretches. I just do it when I get back to town, but... I guess last night's activities warrant it, haha.

He rolls one shoulder as he turns around so his back is facing Ain, slumping forward a little with a heavy sigh.]

[Well, he'll still have to wait a day, but he doubts the soreness will be gone by then.]

Mm, yeah. [......] I've gotten real nasty cuts on the road before. Went to wash them in the river, got an infection, and I'm pretty sure I nearly died. I'm kind of not interested in repeating that, haha... After that incident, though, I learnt how to do stitches, and I'm pretty good at identifying threats. Better than I was before.

[Local man says this and has not parsed that, theoretically, Wolfwood is an active threat to him. Or he's supposed to be, anyhow.]

[Unlike other things, when Wolfwood responds sarcastically, that...sounded genuine, actually. Like, in a way that suggests he may actually want Ain to teach him. It would be a useful skill to have, assuming he ends up stuck by himself again at some point and needs to be patched up in a pinch.

Ain isn't the only one of them feeling weird, if it helps at all. Wolfwood is definitely feeling...something brewing in his chest the longer they talk, and he's fairly certain it isn't being caused by the cold water getting to him.]

[He has been worshed, and now he's no longer sticky and gross. It's not as good as washing with actual soap, but they won't have access to nicer amenities until they reach the next town. They make do with what they got.]

We can do it after we've had a little time to rest in the next town. You need a suture needle to do it, you can't do it with any old needle. I have a kit on me, obviously, but it's easier to learn when you aren't exhausted.

[But, heard, he will be scooping Wolfwood out of the river and sticking him into the back of the wagon again. It's slow-going, but that's only because Ain cannot carry this man like a princess. Woe is Ain, little guy, blah blah blah, anyway get in the wagon.

He doesn't think Wolfwood needs help getting dressed or drying off, so he'll just take care of those things for himself, and if Wolfwood complains then Ain will help.]

[As Wolfwood allows Ain to help him up into the wagon, he notices that he's gotten a lot less chatty since the night prior. Even since earlier this morning, actually...he's not sure what it is, but the guy seems distracted. He's definitely acting different compared to how he was, if nothing else.

He says nothing about it as he gets dressed, but once he's managed to pull himself back into his clothes and situate himself somewhere decently comfortable in the back, only then will he address Ain where he can see him through the front canopy as he gets the horses hitched back up to the wagon.]

Somethin' the matter? Ain't heard hardly a peep outta you for like a half hour.

[Something's the matter yeah! It's called Ain's having weird feelings about keeping you around because you weren't supposed to be around! He was supposed to fuck you two nights ago and steal your stuff and leave before you could find him, you're not supposed to be with him on the road, he needs to get rid of you as soon as possible at the next town and suddenly he's thinking he doesn't want to!

His cheeks colour at Wolfwood's questioning, and he bites the inside of his cheek before he blurts something out. Then, softly:]

Sorry. I'm still not used to having someone on the road with me. I usually get Elria ready silently and set out.

[But he's also too lost in his own thoughts to really... like, think properly.]

I'll be singing as we go, so you don't need to worry about me being quiet forever. I just keep getting lost in all the things I need to do, that's all it is.
