As nice as the warm water is, they should get out. Warm is becoming lukewarm pretty rapidly, and he can feel that his skin is starting to get all pruny...so he'll stiffly stand up, leaning heavily against Ain for support. He will practically have to be carried back to bed once again, but once they've dried off and have gotten there...

Wolfwood doesn't. Get dressed? He does not put any clothes on. He just goes for the bed immediately, waiting for Ain to climb in after him.

Why yes he does regularly sleep nude if he has the option to do so and isn't camping, hi.]

[Oh thank God, okay, Ain was gonna get dressed but if Wolfwood isn't then he's also gonna just be naked. He'll do the laundry tomorrow morning or afternoon or whatever. He is crawling his bare ass into bed and snuggling right against Wolfwood.

[You know, it's not surprising that Ain doesn't mind the naked sleeping. That isn't surprising. What is a little surprising is the way he immediately curls up close despite this, making a home for himself on Wolfwood's chest in a way that suggests that Wolfwood might have tried to push him off, if this were happening earlier in their time together.

...but he doesn't. He's still until Ain settles before he rests his hand in the middle of his back where those cuts aren't present, his cheek resting against the top of his hair. It's the way he might sleep with a woman, if any of the woman he'd ever slept with were actually interested in cuddling like this. Most of them either left immediately, or they slept on the other side of the bed because they weren't getting paid extra to cuddle.

This...isn't being paid for. It isn't transactional.

He doesn't know how to feel about it.]

I know, [he starts with a tired sigh, clearly only 10% awake judging by how much he mutters and slurs,] you only came with since we were going the same direction on the same day. And you probably wanna keep going...

[He takes a deep breath, and for a moment, it seems like he's fallen asleep entirely. A minute passes before he speaks again, muffled into Wolfwood's skin, while his hands grip the larger man around the waist.]

[...and after that, mid-sentence, he's out like a light.]

[Well. He was doing okay dealing with these feelings, at least until Ain just dropped that little bomb in his lap.

Don't leave yet. I don't want... you to leave, presumably. But why? Why does Ain not want that? Beyond the sex, they're not...friends. They're not supposed to be anything to each other, especially on Wolfwood's end. Ain is a means TO an end, but nothing more than that.

Yet. He can't let Ain get away from him, either. They've already headed pretty far out, back closer to where his group left their camp, but...Ain could still easily slip through their fingers if Wolfwood were to part ways and he suddenly decided to leave that very same night. It's not a risk he can take, after making it this far.

But why...why does just thinking that way make his chest hurt, and his stomach nauseous? He doesn't know. He doesn't like it.

With brows furrowed, Wolfwood strokes Ain's back a few more times, his body eventually relaxing against the mattress. He's not even sure how many hours he lays there like that, unable to sleep...and it isn't just due to having napped most of the day away.

[Honestly, had Ain's filter been on, he wouldn't have said that at all. He would've coped if Wolfwood got up and ditched him, and it would've proven to him that he is, indeed, a loveless creature who will remain unloved. It would've sealed in his whole "I don't do love, I don't know how to love, I don't need it" thing he's been on about. But no, his filter was very off, and he's blurted out now that he wants Wolfwood to stay, for weal or for woe.

He absolutely sleeps through breakfast. Even if Wolfwood getse up to grab them some, Ain won't stir, he'll just make an "mmmrhghghrghphh" type groaning noise and roll over and sleep facedown with his head in a pillow??? He's Fine (he's not fine).]

[Unsurprising, really. In that case, if he's able to get up without Ain trying to drag him back down into the sheets, he will get up and go get breakfast as he promised. Free breakfast isn't much, in all honesty. Eggs and potatoes cooked in a skillet, some sausage...things you'd expect. Since Ain asked for something sweet, however, he'll bring back some biscuits and honey, as well as some fresh fruit they had out alongside the more protein forward things (that Wolfwood mostly got for himself lbr).

All of this he brings back on a wooden tray, very slowly by the way because he's still hobbling everywhere because of his broken ass, sliding into a seat on the edge of the bed where Ain is still slumbering with his face mashed into the pillow.]

[Free breakfast isn't much but it's fucking free, and that's what Ain's excited for. He'd probably have sprang up and eaten too much had he not, uh... just kind of faceplanted.

Twelve hour journey, emotions, you know, all things that make a man real tired.

Wolfwood's voice stirs him, at least.]

[...he smells food. Ohhh he's sitting up and holding his hands out, gibe. Gibe food. He will eat totally naked it's fine.]

[Snorting, Wolfwood hands the tray over with the fruit on it to Ain, keeping his own balanced on his knees.]

That woke you up. They didn't really have a whole ton down there, but I grabbed as much sweet shit as they had available.

[Stated simply, while he grabs the silverware and balances his tray on his lap, digging in immediately. He's so hungry... his body is screaming "we did too much yesterday please eat" and he is obeying.]

Thank you for getting us food. Sorry for sleeping so long, haha... I was pretty comfortable, you know? It's nice to sleep in a bed and not on the ground. It's the first time I've slept in a bed in a long time.

Yeah. There are two more towns between there and here, all off toward the west. [They're in the old west, but the mountains are even wester. The west is so vast! And probably even more wild the further they go. What if they go so far west that there's no civilization, anyway—] I have to travel for another week, plus time to rest at towns like this. You can't do it all in one go, and the mountains will always be there for me.

[Ain... is flustered. His cheeks turn pink, and suddenly he's looking away, too, down at his lap and the tray he's cleared of everything but the cutlery and dishware. Why would Wolfwood's plans have changed? Huh??]

[Yeah, uh. Now that Wolfwood has said it? He thought the weight would leave his chest, but...if anything, it's only worse now. His heart feels like it's beating ten times harder, loud enough to be heard between the both of them, and there's nothing he can do about it.

And then there's Ain. Why does he look just as flustered as he feels? Is his face...red?]

I was already planning on spending the night, considering the horses will need a break, and so do I.

[And his wanted posters might not have reached this far yet, and provided he keeps his head down... it'll maybe stay that way for a bit. It's hard to get news of a wanted criminal out between towns quickly after all.]

But... I don't mind taking that break with you. [He wants to lean on Wolfwood... Ain sets the tray aside and scoots closer, getting in real close. This is so bad for his heart. So so bad for it.] Do you want to explore today? Do you... feel better? Enough to walk around, I mean. This town is a lot bigger than the one we were in two days ago.

[Wolfwood is done eating by now, so he'll pick up his tray and set it aside as well, just in time for Ain to get reeeeal close. He...as he's been doing, allows it, even going so far as to slightly pull back one arm so Ain will have more room to slot in next to him.

He fits there seamlessly. It's almost eerie.]

I think I could swing it. I'm kinda still limpin', but I managed to make it to breakfast and back without dyin', so.
